Release of Komment™ 2.1 and Kaptain™ 1.0

Komment™ 2.1 is out

All good things come to those who wait. Our latest version of Komment™ took a bit longer to develop than planned. However, the outcome is also a big step forward in the possibility and flexibility our writeback extension gives to you as a Qlik developer or business user.

For the elements that meet the eye, the main features of the update are:

• Add records to your Qlik app with a click on a button
• Remove records from your data with a click on a button
• Sorting and filtering is now possible in fields in the Komment table
• Expressions/Measures can now be used anywhere inside the Komment table
• User permissions can now be set directly in the Komment configuration

We are extremely proud and happy to be able to introduce you to the newest member of our Qlik Sense writeback solution. Kaptain™ is a bit shy so you won't notice him unless you know what to look for :-)

So to make sure you don't miss out on all the good things Kaptain™ has to offer we have collated a few reasons as to why you need Kaptain™ in your writeback life.

1. You have a need for SQL DB storage of saved data => Kaptain™ enables writeback to MS SQL databases
2. You have a high number of concurrent users using Komment™ => Kaptain™ can handle high concurrency cases (i.e. several users saving comments at the same time)
3. You will use Komment™ in larger Qlik applications (+200 mb) => Kaptain™ increase performance to near real time save and hence, better handling of large Qlik applications.
4. You require dynamic updates to Komment™ data model to be possible => Kaptain™ allows for dynamic updates to Komment™ data model without breaking with historic data structure - i.e. you can freely add new data entry fields to your existing Komment™ objects.
5. You have Analyzer licenses => Kaptain™ enables Analyzer users to store data using Komment™.
6. You want to be prepared for the future => Kaptain™ will soon make it possible to connect your Qlik Sense apps with many external services which expands the possible use cases for Komment™.
