It is no secret that we are great fans of Qlik! That is the reason why we use as many native functionalities in our extensions as possible. In version 2.2 this is no different. Read on to learn just how native we are getting.
One of the best thing about using Qlik Sense is the intuitive search and selection functionality. Ever since we launched Komment™ 2.0 where the Table mode was introduced, we have wanted to improve the selection options. And what better way to do that than allowing for the native Qlik Sense search and selection interface.
As the video shows, version 2.2 will provide Komment™ users with fully native Qlik functionality when filtering and selection in the data. All selections made are naturally reflected in the rest of the Qlik Sense application.
Even though a former Qlik CTO said that "...an angel loses its wings each time someone exports to Excel" we have still found it relevant to include this feature. As you can see in the below video it is just a click of a button and the formatting of the table is actually kept. Also the freezing of columns (oops - we haven't told you about that yet - it will come in the next section).
We know from our own experience that tables always tend to contain too many columns to be visible at the same time. That means you have to scroll a lot to see all your data. To improve the user experience in the Komment table, it is now possible to select which columns to freeze when you scroll horizontally. As you can see it gives a much better experience when working with wide tables and the user always knows the relevant content for the records he is viewing.
In addition to the hopefully very useful features shown above we are happy to also have the following elements as part of our next release:
1. Visual enhancements to the table mode
2. More layout options for form mode
3. Localization of system labels
4. Auto generation of tables in MS SQL DB directly from Komment UI
Version 2.2 will be released by the end of October so stay tuned. If you are looking for more information about the writeback capabilities of Komment, just take a look at the product page here.
