Intro
Glofitech creates end-to-end solutions for wealth management companies. They have their own back-office solution and ready-made apps that help their staff and clients with reconciliation of accounts to analysis of sales and productivity. Glofitech use Qlik Sense to build these apps.
Writeback is used in different areas
Glofitech use Komment to add and change data in their apps in several different business areas:
- Back-office
- Marketing
- Accounting
According to the Chairman of the Board, Jack Johansson, the great flexibility of Komment has allowed Glofitech to tailor the writeback extension completely to Glofitech's needs. The means that they can build just one Qlik application with one instance of Komment that can be used by different departments simultaneously. A positive side-effect of this is a fast setup of applications with writeback functionality.
Examples of use cases
With several different business areas making use of Komment and the ability to write data directly into their Qlik applications, there are far too many specific use cases to outline here. We have therefore extracted the most used ones:
- People from the back-office can enter amounts for the accounts in the bank which Glofitech does not have a reference to
- Marketing employees can enter the amount of money they spend on various campaign and thereby calculate cost/benefit of each campaign
- When people from back-office have completed the task of investigation possible money laundering they can record that with a check-mark
- The accounting department uses the inline table mode to prepare their IS/BS and cash flow budgets.
Summary
With the use of Komment, Glofitech has gotten increased value out of their Qlik Sense platform. They are now actively thinking in Komment when developing new applications or enhancing existing ones.
